Since the start of the 2022 school year, a uniform top has been mandatory for all students.

The school uniform is a pedagogical tool at the service of the school's educational project. As such, it provides pupils with elements of understanding that have an effect on their behavior and concentration.

-Behavior at school: This garment establishes a dividing line between life in society and life in the private sphere. Uniforms enable children to distinguish their behavior at school (in terms of respect for work and public behavior) from what they may allow themselves in private.

-Concentration: One of the special features of uniforms is that they combat the reign of appearance. Students find it easier to concentrate in a specific, protective environment, where identities don't have to supplant the knowledge imparted by the teacher. What's more, by establishing equality between students, wearing a uniform allows them to pay more attention to others and encourages open-mindedness.

Dress is often a source of comparison and jealousy. When children, unlike their peers, can't afford to wear fashionable brands, they find it harder to fit in with the group, and sometimes even experience real exclusion.

In this way, the uniform is a factor of integration and cohesion.

  -Integration, because uniforms leave social differences and     differences of fortune outside the school, and place children on an equal footing with others. Wearing a uniform specifically contributes to better integration.

-As a cohesive factor, wearing a uniform helps young people develop a sense of belonging to their school. It consolidates their sense of community and often generates pride in belonging to a particular school. 

The practical aspects of uniforms should not be overlooked: uniforms are hard-wearing garments, cut to be comfortable in all seasons. Fabrics are also chosen for their ability to be washed frequently. It's economical, too, because it cuts down on the clothing budget. What's more, because their classmates dress the same as they do, children aren't influenced by brand names when buying clothes to wear outside school.

Uniforms make life simpler for parents, as they are not subject to the diktat of fashion, which tends to make them regularly renew their children's wardrobe. It remains up-to-date and stylish for a long time to come.
