Caves

On Tuesday March 11, the classes of Kindergarten and 1st Grade spent the day at the Lascaux IV caves. The pupils discovered the famous prehistoric paintings, admiring the frescoes created by our ancestors thousands of years ago. Thanks to a fascinating guided tour, they learned how prehistoric man lived and created his works of art.

Green handsJust before the winter break, the Year 2 and Year 3 students got their hands dirty in the garden, planting vegetable, flower, and fruit seeds. Under the warm sun, they prepared the soil, carefully sowed their seeds, and even made a few unexpected discoveries underground!

Now it’s time to be patient... We’ll meet again in the spring to see their plants bloom!

Catapult

On Tuesday, February 18th, our 4th and 5th Grade students took on an exciting challenge: building a homemade catapult using everyday objects—rulers, tape, rubber bands… and a good dose of creativity!

In the afternoon, it was time for the big competition! A thrilling eraser-launching contest took place in the schoolyard, filled with cheers, laughter, and lots of flying projectiles. After some (almost) surgical-precision shots—and a few missing erasers—two champions were crowned ! Bravo to them and to all the participants for their incredible imagination and team spirit!

SculptureOn Monday, February 10th, our 4th and 5th Grade class took a creative dive into the world of art during a visit to the MAAP Museum. An afternoon of sculpture was on the agenda!

In a whirlwind of clay and imagination, the students crafted beautiful raised portraits, blending faces and upper busts with incredible detail.

Here’s a glimpse of their work—where art meets childhood, and each sculpture comes to life in the hands of our young artists.

Thank you to our talented students and their chaperones for this wonderful adventure! And a big thank-you to the MAAP Museum for the warm welcome.

christmas-mass

On Friday, December 20th,, we celebrated a beautiful Christmas Mass at Saint Martin's Church. Guided by the angelic voices of the children and led by Father Poultier, many parents joined us for this moment of prayer and celebration.

During the service,a living Nativity tableau came to life, came to life, portrayed by our students. Through their simple yet faith-filled actions, they reminded everyone of the deep meaning of Christmas: love, light, and the peace brought by the birth of the Christ Child.

May this meaningful time continue to resonate in our hearts throughout this joyful Christmas season.

Ice rink

On Thursday, December 19th, our 4th and 5th Grade classes traded their shoes for ice skates during a fun-filled outing to the ice rink. Not even a few raindrops could dampen their spirits ! Between laughter, playful falls, and quick progress, the children shared unforgettable moments on the ice. It was a wonderful experience—both active and playful—that brought everyone together.

MuseumOn Monday, December 9th, our 4th and 5th Grade class had the opportunity to spend an afternoon at the MAAP Museum, diving into the world of sculpture. Guided by a passionate museum educator, the students explored the intricacies of this art form, learning to observe and understand different sculpting techniques and artistic approaches.

After this enriching visit, the children took part in a hands-on workshop where they discovered clay modeling. This activity gave them the chance to apply their new knowledge and freely express their creativity.

This educational outing not only sparked their artistic curiosity but also deepened their understanding of the creative process. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the MAAP Museum for the warm welcome.

Saint martin day

On Friday, November 8th, our school joyfully celebrated the traditional Saint Martin’s Day. The day began with a beautiful Mass, bringing together students, teachers, and families in a spirit of sharing and gratitude. In the afternoon, the schoolyard was transformed into a playground of old-fashioned games, where children and adults had fun together. The 2nd Grade class performed a short skit retelling the story of Saint Martin and his act of kindness in sharing his cloak with someone in need, while the 4th and 5th Graders served as narrators. At 4:30 PM, the much-anticipated snack delighted everyone’s taste buds: candy skewers, chocolate crispy treats, shortbread cookies, and hot chocolate—all lovingly prepared by the students. A big thank-you to everyone who helped make this day so warm and festive!
